A SOCIAL ENTERPRISE ON LARRAKIA LAND
Songlines opened in April 2021 in Stuart Park, Darwin. It’s a large, beautifully designed art space.
Songlines combines quality shopping, art exhibitions, fair trade, demonstrations, workshops, a children’s space, plus film and events – all under one roof.
Darwin is the natural hub for First Nations artists and craftspeople from across the Top End of Australia. Songlines provides a welcoming and inclusive space for both creators and appreciators and showcases the extraordinary breadth of Indigenous arts and culture to be found in the region and beyond.
Felicity Wright founded Songlines after a 35 year career working with remote community Indigenous art centres as an administrator/manager, advocate, researcher and consultant.
Songlines is open Tuesday – Friday 10-5, Saturday 10-3 and other times by appointment.
You’ll find it only 1.5 km from the CBD and 300 km from the Botanic Gardens. If you can’t visit in person you’ll find our website and online store interesting and full of ethical products including fabrics, limited edition prints, books, homewares, souvenirs and arts and crafts.
